Nadine Lindstrom Straub was born in rural Paullina, Iowa to Amos and Signa (Carlson) Lindstrom on July 16, 1927. She lived her childhood days on a farm south of Paullina. She graduated from
On October 24, 1948, she married Edmund Straub, they lived on a farm east of Paullina. On March 8, 1966, Edmund passed away. She was left with three small children, which she felt was worth more than all the gold in the world. After the children were grown Nadine worked at the
