MILDRED RICHMOND

     Mildred Malcolm Richmond, the daughter of Daniel and Mary Alice (Reynolds) Cockel was born July 29, 1911 at Cleghorn, Iowa. She received her education in Cherokee County schools. She was united in marriage to Glenn Malcolm and Robert Richmond. Most of her life was spent in the Paullina area. She was able to celebrate her 100th birthday at home before moving to the Primghar Care Center. She passed away at the Primghar Care Center on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 reaching the age of 100 years, 2 months and 27 days.

     Mildred is survived by grandchildren, Mary (Malcolm) and her husband, Dan Jones of Cumberland City, Tennessee; Kathy (Malcolm) and her husband, John Casperson of Clinton, Iowa and Tim and his wife, Kristie Malcolm of Griswold, Iowa; 7 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other family.

     She was preceded in death by her husband’s, Glenn Malcolm and Robert Richmond; a son, Glenn Malcolm and his wife, Esther (Schnoes) Malcolm; her parents, and sisters, Inez Thomson, Mabel Anderson and Grace Strampe.
