JACQUELINE A. PUHRMANN

    Jacqueline Ann (Hocking) Puhrmann the daughter of Ralph M. and Rome (Fahan) Hocking was born March 26, 1949 in Lake City, Iowa. Jacque was baptized at the Presbyterian Church in Yetter, Iowa. She attended Cherokee schools graduating from Cherokee Washington High School in 1967. On December 9, 1967, she was united in marriage to Delmar Jalas and to this union two children were born; Brenda and Daniel. She worked at Piccadilly Pizza, Casey’s, K-Products and was a Librarian at the Paullina Public Library before she retired in 2012. She owned and operated Lifetime Publishing in Paullina. On September 20, 1997, she was united in marriage to Mark (Fuzzy) Puhrmann at the Zion Lutheran Church in Paullina and their married life together has been spent in Paullina. She passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the Baum-Harmon Mercy Hospital in Primghar after being stricken at her residence. She reached the age of 65 years, 10 months and 11 days.
     Jacque’s biggest joy was being with her family and peeling 10lbs of potatoes for every holiday. She enjoyed crocheting, tatting, bowling, playing cards, reading and sitting by the fire.
     She is survived by her husband, Mark (Fuzzy) Puhrmann of Paullina; children, Brenda and her husband, Alan Hoppe of Sibley, Iowa and Daniel and his wife, Michelle Unrau of Granville, Iowa; grandchildren, Samantha Unrau (Alex Ebel) of Paullina; Austin Unrau of Granville and Alec and Claire Hoppe of Sibley; her siblings, John Hocking of Livermore, Iowa; Judy Hocking of Paullina, Iowa and Jody Hocking and Amy Badertscher of Storm Lake, Iowa; also nieces, nephews, brother and sister in-laws, other relatives and friends.
     Jacque is preceded in death by her husband, Delmar; her parents and infant sister, Barbara.
